Kindness is the whole job
Families don't write to us about the flooring. They write about Ela, Osma, Peter, Toya, Mary and Annie.
Hired for heart, trained for skill
We can teach anyone to use a Hoyer lift. We can't teach patience. So we hire for kindness first, then train thoroughly in dementia care, safe transfers, medication administration and infection control.
Then we work hard to keep them. Many of our caregivers have been with us for years, which matters more than anything to a person with memory loss. Familiar faces mean less fear, better sleep and fewer bad days. Because we're small, your parent is cared for by the same team every week, not a rotating cast of agency staff.
And our caregivers are awake 24 hours a day. Nights are when people with dementia are most likely to get up, get confused or fall. At Fountain, someone is always awake and close by.
“My dad spent his final year battling advanced Alzheimer's and dementia, and the care he received at FAL was truly exceptional. The entire staff treated him with the utmost patience, dignity, and respect. Ela, Osma, Peter, Toya, Mary, and Annie (among others) were always there for him, going above and beyond to support our family during his last week. I wholeheartedly recommend FAL to anyone looking for a loving, dedicated facility for their own loved ones.”
The faces your parent will know
These are the people who care for our residents every day and every night. Families mention them by name in their reviews.
Small moments, every day
Learning each person
How Dad takes his coffee, which side Mom sleeps on, the hymn that calms her. Written into the care plan and passed shift to shift.
Patience with words
For residents with dementia or aphasia, caregivers slow down, watch for cues, and make sure each resident feels heard.
Keeping families close
A family phone line answered around the clock, and caregivers who call you when something changes, good or worrying.
“Fountain Assisted Living has been a blessing for our family. My wife suffers from aphasia, and finding a place where she would be understood, supported, and treated with patience was so important to us. From day one, the staff has been incredibly kind and compassionate, always taking the time to communicate with her in a way that makes her feel heard and valued. The environment is warm, peaceful, and welcoming—a true home, not just a facility. The team is attentive and patient, and we can see how much they genuinely care. Knowing she is in a place where she feels safe and comfortable brings our family so much peace of mind.”
“This place treated my mother so kindly! All of the staff were so amazing! Thank you!”
